Name: Imperial Stout

Brewery: Nogne O

Overall Rating: A-

Style: Stout

Serving Style: 1pt .9 fl oz Bottle

ABV: 9 %

IBU:75

Price: $7.99

Appearance: A dark chocolate brown. Had to pour vigorously to get some head out of the goblet though it turned out nice. A brown bubbly syrup laces the glass.

Aroma: A pleasing scent of caramel with some roasted medium malty smells. Perhaps some elusive nuttiness and slight vanilla in the brew.

Flavor: This is a surprisingly rich yet well balanced stout that is easily drinkable, especially considering it’s fairly high abv. A nicely roasted flavor with some coffee and sweetness within, and a good bitter finish.

Body: This one is light to medium yet sticks to your palate with an alcoholic coat. It just settles and stays.

Enjoyability: Overall a very tasty stout that I would not hesitate to drink again should the opportunity present itself. Also definitely an interesting experience to have anything  Norwegian, let alone a stout. I would very much like to experiment more with the offerings of this brewery as this was my introduction to Nogne and I am impressed.
