Name: St. Martin

Brewery: Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren

Overall Rating: A+

Style: Dunkler Bock

Serving Style: Bottle 1pt. 0.9fl. oz.

ABV: 6.6%

IBU:

Price: $2.79 @ Holiday Wine Cellar

Appearance: Dark amber color with a light head that quickly dissipates.

Aroma: Very sweet aroma. Having a hard time picking out what I am smelling. It smells great though!

Flavor: The sweetness really comes out when you take that first sip. The finish  is super smooth leaving a sweet coating in your mouth. No real one flavor sticks out except that sweetness. Not detecting any hops, no bitterness, no alcohol. Maybe its really sweet prunes or grapes I am tasting. Perplexing flavor that is very tasty!

Body: I’d have to say this is a light-medium body.

Enjoyability: A very enjoyable beer…er bier…I will pick this one up again as I continue to explore the German brews.

Another take: Ba | Ratebeer

A+ is an amazing rating. I’ll find the amazing brew to guzzle pure heaven. Suggestions on where to buy?

Its tasty. Maybe I gave too high of a mark. Maybe its because I haven’t really had too many of this type of brew to make a better judgment.
