About: I remember my first beer...actually, I don't. It was probably something horrible like a Coors light and I'm glad I've forgotten. My experience with beer has come full circle. Originally I gave up on beer because I thought it was all crappy lagers. One day in 2002, I happened upon a little deli called Hollingshead in Anaheim, CA that just happened to have a vast array of "crazy" beers on tap I had never heard of. I dug the look of the STONE IPA handle and tried it. My life has never been the same since. I was in love with hops, grains, and the amazing beauty of what beer can really be.
I love bold flavors and extremes. Belgiums and homebrewing my own beer.See Authors Posts (76) | Filed under: Beer Reviews

Name: Hop Juice
Brewery: Two Brothers Brew Co
Overall Rating: B+
Style: Double/Imperial IPA
Serving Style: 22oz Bomber
ABV: 9.9%
IBU: 100.1
Price: $5.99
Appearance: Big head during the pour but it settled out to a very little head after 30 seconds. Light amber pale color. Carbination is limited, but present.
Aroma: Hop juice is the right name. Smells like a freshly opened vial of hop oils. Citrus and floral.
Flavor: The hops smack you right in the face. This is a true example of a Double IPA and it’s a worthy beverage. A hopheads beer. Oily finish with tastes of hop extracts. Piney after taste.
Body: Medium with an oily hop resin after taste.
Enjoyability: A good example of a double IPA. I enjoyed this beer and if you’re a hophead like me, you would enjoy it. Bold hops, good balance.
