About: My first beer was Budweiser. I was about 9 or 10, Dad and I were broken down and the side of the road and all there was to drink was Budweiser. So I had a swig of his, hated it!
I didn't drink beer again until I joined the Marine Corps. I was in Quantico, attending Small Computer Systems Specialist school, when I accidentally knocked a beer out the fridge and broke it. My buddies said now I gotta drink one! The rest is history. The broken beer was a Red Dog by the way.
Now days I am really a hop head that enjoys the IPAs [Stone IPA; Lagunitas IPA] and Douple IPAs [Moylan's; Hair of the Dog Blue Dot]. I also like Belgians [St Bernardus; Delirium; Three Philosopher's] a lot! I also like the Stouts and Porters [Black Butte] as well.
I enjoy going to breweries to sample as well as going to pubs and taverns. I also like enjoying beer with friends and bouncing ideas off of other intelligent people as well. Last time I was at O'Brien's I was shooting the shit with a couple of random strangers.
I hope to someday do a pub/tavern crawl across Europe. That's all I want. Simple.

Name: Commemorative Ale
Brewery: Kiuchi Brewery
Overall Rating: Recommended
Style: Spice/Herb/Vegetable Ale
Serving Style: Bottle, 11.2oz.
ABV: 9%
Appearance: Semi clear amber color with a nice, full, off white head. The pour you see in the picture is pretty clear. I poured more into my glass after a few sips and noticed it cloud up. There is a nice yeast cake at the bottom of the bottle. So be aware of this when you pour.
Aroma: Smells of spices and and vanilla. The smell almost tickles the nostril as I try to pick out more aromas.
Flavor: I give this high marks in the taste department. Tastes like a Belgian style with a nice crispness on the tongue.
Body: Nice and smooth on the mouth feel. A slight lingering after taste that reminds me of sweet Belgiany goodness.
Enjoyability: I rated this on as “Recommended“. I wouldn’t do that unless I enjoyed it! This is a nice smooth brew that I could see reaching out to a lot of different people. If you see this in your local, high end, liquor store of choice, pick it up. Give it a try and let me know what you thought of it. Granted, that does require you to get outside of your comfort zone, but once you take that first sip, you’ll be right back in it.

Thanks for the “Another Take”! I loved this beer as well, it was a stellar winter among a crowded field of holiday beers this year.

This is listed as a ” Spice/Herb/Vegetable beer”. Commercial Description:
Full bodied beer with sweet wheat flavor and beautiful dense foam top. It has a pleasant bitterness and unique spicy aroma with Orange Peel, Coriander, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Beans. Complex yet soothing.

@Sigaro: Nice team work on the clarification on the style.
