Core Brewing-Anaheim Imperial IPA

Author: Escape To Beer | Filed under: Homebrew

Name: Imperial IPA

Brewery: Core Brewing-Anaheim

Overall Rating: Very Drinkable – I like it a lot

Style: Double IPA

Serving Style: 22 oz Bomber Bottle

ABV: 8.5 %

Price: $ 2.91 (kit price / 24)

Aroma: Very hoppy.  This is a kit from O’Shea’s called the Hop Monster and there were many hops that made up this brew.  If your a hop head, this is a good kit to try out.

Appearance: It had a good head when I poured it into the glass, like two fingers worth.  The beer was opache like you would expect from an IPA.  Carbonation was also very nice and plenty of it with lacing seen through out the edges of the glass.

Flavor: The flavor was very hoppy and bitter.  This flavor is full and enjoyable through out.

Enjoyability: I like this one, for being my first batch, I think it turned out pretty darn good.  During the brewing session yesterday my buddies also said that they enjoyed it, even one that really doesn’t drink that much beer to the one that has been brewing for over 9 years.

Grats on the first batch! Just take lots of notes just in case you want to make it again. Or if there is something you want to change, you can see what happened [good and bad].

    Continuous improvement!

Stone – Ruination IPA is 7.7 ABV
