Dogfish Head Aprihop

Name: Aprihop

Brewery: Dogfish Head

Overall Rating: A-

Style: Specialty Beer (23)

Serving Style: Draft, pint @ O’Brien’s

ABV: 7%

IBU: 30

Aroma: Esters [apricots!] and malts.

Appearance: Dark amber, very filtered with a pure white head.

Flavor: Some hop bitterness with a good balance sweet apricot flavor. Getting tons of apricot in the after taste as well as aromas as I exhale after a drink. As it warmed up, some sour flavors started to emerge as well as the apricot flavor become prominent. The beer evolved as it warmed up, like most Dogfish Heads do.

Mouthfeel: This is a full bodied malty monster!

Enjoyability: Overall, BAD ASS! I highly recommend you seek this out and try it for yourself. Oh and you thought the “apri” was for April. Boy was I wrong!
