Lost Coast Old Ale

Lost Coast Old Ale

Name: Old Ale

Brewery: Lost Coast

Overall Rating: A

Style: Old Ale (19A)

Serving Style: Draft, pint @ O’Brien’s

ABV: 8.5%

Price: $4.50

Aroma: Very slight malt aromas.

Appearance: Cloudy orange-amber color with a pure white head. Moderate lacing.

Flavor: Very smooth malt flavors. The taste is real subtle. Very well balanced. Didn’t taste ABV at all.

Mouthfeel: Very full and smooth mouthfeel.

Enjoyability: I liked this one quite a bit. It was a real nice, easy  drinking, session ale (if you can maintain at 8% and not be FLIMSY!).

Another take: I hate to do this, but I couldn’t find any other blogs that had reviewed this: Nubvocate* | RakeBeer

Nice work on the legal disclaimer there my friend!! I’m sure some lawsuits are on the way now..

Old Ale’s I’ve had are pitch black, interesting color on this one? Or is it a Gold Ale??
