Name: Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
Brewery: North Coast Brewing Co
Overall Rating: B +
Style: Russian Imperial Stout
Serving Style: 12 oz Bottle
ABV: 9 %
IBU: 75
Price: $ 6.99 / 4 pack
Aroma: Dark malt, some dark fruits like raisins and berries. Pretty nice bouquet over all.
Appearance: Dark and complete solid color. Can’t see through it at all. Good head when it was first poured and visible lacing once I started drinking it.
Flavor: Strong taste of dark chocolate. Coffee comes through as well. Slight hop taste can be sensed near the end.
Mouthfeel: Smooth feel and light body. Some chewiness too.
Enjoyability: I enjoyed this one, it was good over all. Not sure about a repeat but may be, I wouldn’t count it out.

Nice review. I had one of these on Friday actually. It was lacking the deeply rich malt character that some of my favorite RIS have, but it was still tasty.

This is actually the first RIS I have ever had! Was big on the ABV on the taste buds. It was handy at the local Vons!

I love this beer, cant say i’ve had many RIS, but this is my favourite stout right now. Im in Puerto Rico and the 4 pack is 12.00…i wish this was 7.00!
