Name: Shakespeare Stout
Brewery: Rogue Ales
Overall Rating: B -
Style: Stout
Serving Style: 22 oz Bomber Bottle
ABV: 6 %
IBU: 69
Price: $ 6.99
Aroma: Slightly hoppy, some malt and oats. There is also a slightly flowery smell that is evident as well.
Appearance: A dark but very dark bown color and slighty creamy. As you drink it the lacing just clings to the sides of the grass.
Flavor: Not as strong as other Stouts that I have had. There is a bitter chocolatey taste with a combination of malt. Then you have the coffee kick in with a somewhat bitter taste.
Mouthfeel: A light body for a stout, I usually expect something more chewy. Smooth and pleasant going down your throat.
Enjoyability: Pretty enjoyable just not sure if I would have another go at this one. I usually like beers with more abv but I like Rogue a lot so that is why I decided to give this one a try.
Another take: Rogue Beer Oh Beer
