San Marcos Pompous Ass

San Marcos Pompous Ass

Name: Pompous Ass

Brewery: San Marcos Brewery

Overall Rating: A

Style: Belgian Dark [18E]

Serving Style: Draft

Aroma: Esters and malts

Appearance: Dark amber. Thin off-white head with a  little lacing. Quick head head dissipation. What you see in the picture was immediately after the pour.

Flavor: Complex malt character with caramel flavors. This was definitely heavy in the malt department.

Mouthfeel: It was a balancing act between grainy and smooth carbonation.

Enjoyability: Very very good. Good example of a Belgian quad and I recommend you go try this one out.

Another take: Nubs at rb calling it a brown ale | No else…
