This review is long over-due. It’s been close to 2 weeks now since I walked away from Wisconsin’s best brew pub, Titletown Brewery. There’s just so much to really like about this place such as the atmosphere, friendly regulars, great food and of course, phenomenal brews!
My trip ended on a bitter sweet note. I had spent the last 3 weeks in Wisconsin and was missing the Cali sun. I was happy to be on my way home but sad to say good-bye to my great new friends I met at Titletown.
While in Wisconsin, I visited a few of Wisconsin’s top bars *cough* and one other brewery that in my opinion wasn’t noteworthy to mention in this review. So without further a-do, here’s my write up on Titletown Brewery.
The Facility – The architecture and design of the building is fantastic. For those of you who haven’t read up on the story of Titletown Brewery, definitely visit their website www.titletownbrewery.com. The brewery is a renovated historical train station house.
The Food
During my 3 weeks in Wisconsin, I must have visited Titletown at least 10 times. On my last visit I tried their Smoked Gouda & Railyard Ale Fondue and the burger of the month which was an interesting mix of veal and beef. I believe it was called the Marsala Burger, I simply called it GOOOOOOOD. The patty was cooked to perfection and laid on top of a bed of fresh spinach, swiss cheese and portabella mushrooms all served on a freshly baked bun with ‘pub fries’. My photo doesn’t do it justice but believe me, it was incredible. Unfortunately I didn’t pair my food that night, I was craving my favorite house brew, HoppaSaurus Rex, one of the finest A-IPAs ever crafted I say! An independent review of the HoppaSaurus Rex will follow shortly.
Smoked Gouda and Railyard Ale Fondue

Burger of the Month – Marsala Burger, Veal, Beef, Portabella Mushrooms, spinach and freshly baked bread served with pub fries.

The People – So many fantastic friendly people in Wisconsin. I hope that I have the pleasure of visiting Wisconsin again just to run into these folks. It gives me goose bumps to be around other beer lovers and well this place is crawling with them. Nobody is stranger in this place, from the minute you walk in, you gain a sense of neighborhood.
I cant say enough about the ambiance and friendly people I met at Titletown. On my last day’s visit, I met Shawn who’s one of the manager’s there. He walked up to me and introduced himself as he remembered seeing me in the brewery over the last couple of evenings. Shawn is a beer lover and a great pub manager. He saw how enthusiastic I was about the Titletown brews and flipped me a wooden nickel for being such a fan. Now I wont start a stampede and tell you too much about the wooden nickel but let’s just say you gotta be on your best behavior to earn one.
TitleTown, I will miss you guys. I didn’t get a chance to chat it up with Brew Master Dave as I intended but I did have the pleasure of seeing the master brewer in action. Without question, if you’re in Wisconsin, Titletown Brewery is a MUST to visit.
