Best describe by a previous review:

Cinder Cone Red’s diverse selection of hops and barley captivates thirsty palates with its toffee-like flavor, intense citrus aroma and defined bitterness. Located on the northern slope of Mt. Bachelor, the Cinder Cone was also known as “Red Hill” due to its reddish color that is revealed as the seasons change, the weather warms and the snow melts. It’s spring. Time to get outside.

“Teeters on the brink of world-class. Gorgeous to look at, with constantly shifting coloration ranging from ripe apricot to molten magma. The slathery head gets all over the glass and stays there, while the crushed velvet texture delivers up lacquery flavors that put a shine on the palate thicker than a triple coat of Verathane. The complex, never-ending hops notes are the icing on the cake. Killer beer.” David Gadd – Patterson’s Beverage Journal, February 2007

Taster’s Notes: Has anyone EVER had a bad brew from Deschutes? This one does not disappoint. For its beer style, its got amazing balanced flavor with a touch of lingering hops at the end. Gorgeous hues of amber and very persistent head that coats the glass beautifully! Easy to drink and would pair well with bar foods, hot dogs, hambugers, pizza, etc.
