About: My first beer was Budweiser. I was about 9 or 10, Dad and I were broken down and the side of the road and all there was to drink was Budweiser. So I had a swig of his, hated it!
I didn't drink beer again until I joined the Marine Corps. I was in Quantico, attending Small Computer Systems Specialist school, when I accidentally knocked a beer out the fridge and broke it. My buddies said now I gotta drink one! The rest is history. The broken beer was a Red Dog by the way.
Now days I am really a hop head that enjoys the IPAs [Stone IPA; Lagunitas IPA] and Douple IPAs [Moylan's; Hair of the Dog Blue Dot]. I also like Belgians [St Bernardus; Delirium; Three Philosopher's] a lot! I also like the Stouts and Porters [Black Butte] as well.
I enjoy going to breweries to sample as well as going to pubs and taverns. I also like enjoying beer with friends and bouncing ideas off of other intelligent people as well. Last time I was at O'Brien's I was shooting the shit with a couple of random strangers.
I hope to someday do a pub/tavern crawl across Europe. That's all I want. Simple.

Trinity Brewhouse, situated in Providence, Rhode Island has a sign on the side of their place that reads “The best beer is here”. I found out that they were not lying at all!

Trinity Brewhouse Redrum
I had their Redrum, an Imperial Red that weighed in at a wopping 10%! This puppy was big, bold and BOLD! It had a nice hoppy aroma with a great, full bodied malt flavor. It hid the ABV well and after a few of these, you needed to have assistance on leaving the brewhouse.
You can see in the background there, what looks like a wood tank is actually their copper and stainless kettle. It used to be a very nice, shiny copper color until they hired a new company to clean them. They used the wrong chemical on them and scratched them up with the steel wool they were using and completely ruined them. Even I know all you need to use is a citrus cleaner or even a lemon or orange will work! Nubs! Well I hope they got their money out of them but I have a feeling they didn’t, considering they are still in this condition.
I moved past the Redrum and into their Imperial Brown, which again was a 10% brew! At this point I was ready to move in and setup camp right at the brewhouse.

Trinity Brewhouse Imperial Brown
This was a smooth brown ale that hid its 10% secret very well. I was thoroughly impressed. I also had a chance to have their Baltic Porter but it was a blast of black licorice and didn’t seem to style at all. I also sampled the Belgian style Saison and it was very plain with a wet bandage smell to it. Maybe others like these two but I’ll stick to the Redrum and their Imperial Brown next time I am in town!
