Author: Sudz | Filed under: Beer Reviews

Name: Slipknot “Brewmaster’s Reserve 2009

Brewery: Full Sail Brewery

Overall Rating: A

Style: Imperial American IPA

Serving Style:22oz bomber

ABV: 7.8%

IBU:International Bitterness Units: 80

Price: 4.59 per 220z bomber

Aroma: Strong pine and floral aromoas.

Appearance: Incredibly clean filtered copper hues. Beautiful brew. Good carbonation with average rentention. Aggressive agitation brings out a rich creamy off white head. Subtle lacing down the glass.

Flavor: Good hop blast up front well balanced by a nice malty body.

Mouthfeel: Enjoyable medium body, nice finish with a touch of lingering bitterness.

Enjoyability: I really enjoyed this one. I am used to higher ABV imperials and this one is rather low at only 7.8% but nonetheless is an enjoyable drinkable A-IPA. If you enjoy the A-IPA beer style, without question you will enjoy this brew. Great on a summer day, refreshing!
