Author: SigarocloseAuthor: SigaroName: Tramwell Shantfax Site:http://www.corebrewing.com About: I remember my first beer...actually, I don't. It was probably something horrible like a Coors light and I'm glad I've forgotten. My experience with beer has come full circle. Originally I gave up on beer because I thought it was all crappy lagers. One day in 2002, I happened upon a little deli called Hollingshead in Anaheim, CA that just happened to have a vast array of "crazy" beers on tap I had never heard of. I dug the look of the STONE IPA handle and tried it. My life has never been the same since. I was in love with hops, grains, and the amazing beauty of what beer can really be.
I love bold flavors and extremes. Belgiums and homebrewing my own beer.See Authors Posts (76) | Filed under: Beer Reviews
Punkin Ale
Name: Punkin Ale
Brewery: Dogfish Head
Overall Rating: A
Style: Pumpkin Ale
Serving Style: 12oz Bottle
ABV: 7%
IBU: 28
Price: $7.99 (4-Pack)
Aroma: Brown sugar, molasses, and pumpkin spice. Slightly floral.
Appearance: Clear. Head dissipates quickly (like every pumpkin ale I’ve had). Clear, orange color.
Flavor: One of the only pumpkin ales that actually tastes of pumpkin! Brown sugar is warming, hints of clove, all-spice, and cinnamon.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, with a slightly dry finish. Well carbonated.
Enjoyability: A great pumpkin ale. One of the few I actually enjoy. Even if you’re not a fan of this style, you should give this one a shot while it’s available. This years batch is particularly good.

You going to cellar a bottle? I was gonna pick up a 4 pack and hold onto at least one, see how it is next year.
