Aroma: Sweet esters and some sour apricots. Slight hop aroma was noted.
Appearance: Orange and cloudy. Good, strong white head on it that slowly dissipated into a thin head with heavy coating on the side of my glass.
Flavor: The apricot aromas transcend into an apricot taste. Slight bitterness in the back of the mouth with a lingering, sweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Big and bold mouthfeel. This is a beer that needs teeth to chew your way either through it, or out of it!
Enjoyability: Overall enjoyability is high for me. I am having this moderate ABV [7%] on a hot day while I brew a beer some beer of my own. Its enjoyable and begs for you to pay attention to it as it lingers in your mouth until you take the next sip and renew the flavors. The sweet after taste is a nice contrast to the apricot/hop bitterness.
Another take: Nubvocate | Summer of Beer [although the beer in their picture is a lot lighter]
My roommate, Anthony Mingus, actually helped me write this review, cheers!
This being my first beer review or post in quite sometime, I hope you enjoy it and I hope to keep posting on some of the beers that I find here in San Diego, CA as well as all over the State, Country and World as I travel the globe.
